After my Cambodia trip 03yrs ago, I have been wanting to revisit the place and take the chances to visit the neighboring countries Vietnam and Laos. My long time wish has been granted and I traveled with the most crazy travel buddies in the whole wide world. Chos!
My two great companions…. friend Chat & Cousin Pete
…so many highlights of the trip but I will just tackle the ones that tops my list in each country.
We start it off at Bangkok (our meeting place). Supposedly we all would meet up at KL but things changed when I found out Sissy’s holiday in Bangkok was extended (she was there for a holiday and work) so then I thought I should visit Bangkok again and meet up with her. It wasn’t difficult to convince the two we reroute. Pete has been in Bangkok once and would want to visit the place again and with Chat it’s going to be his first time so they both all agreed and what’s next?! Aside from meeting new friends,we party hard and we all had a great time there!!!
Sissy and I at the Brick Bar (in Khaosan) Good times!
In Ho Chi Minh (Saigon Vietnam) there are two moments I cherish there. The awesome experience I had at the Cu Chi Tunnel (yes I entered the original Cu Chi tunnel which Viet cong used as hiding spot during the Vietnam war) and the other highlight in Ho Chi Minh was …when I got the chance to eat Chicken Joy and Jolly Spaghetti at Jollibee again, lol!
That’s me at the Cu Chi Tunnel
Then in Vientiane Laos I never thought I would be able to ride a bike and roam around the city proper and along Mekong river. Imagine biking around in a foreign country… but of course that is because there is no traffic there. Yet the experience is still treasured. Somehow someday when the country gets really developed you wouldn’t be able to do that anymore. You know what I mean….
had to carry the bike …I rode too much didn’t notice it’s the dead end along Mekong River
Cambodia! My two companions are so looking forward to see the Unesco site heritage The Angkor Wat. It’s their first time. That’s apart from the many reasons why I need to revisit Cambodia. Khmer food and it’s great touristic sites especially in Siem Reap, these lovely people below are the other important reason why…bonded much and had a great time with them!
finally I came to meet my blogger friend Loven (aka the Spoolartist) & Hotel 1961 owner
had a great time with our cousin Josiet & her family (they’re based in Phnom Penh)
we’ve met Young Filipino Designer Don Protacio and happy to be reunited with Melissa
glad to meet ZJ again my blogger friend (aka Sreisaat) after 03 long yrs
Ahhh! All in all the trip ended as I want it to happen. Amazingly beautiful! Such a fun filled holiday. Thank you very much to my great companions Chat & Pete and to the great hosts (especially to Sissy Nanzy, Loven, Josiet and Melissa)! I don’t think the trip would have been that amazing without you guys! Till our next meeting again…x
