About Elisabeth Michaud

If you want the nitty-gritty details of my education and work history, you can find me on LinkedIn:  www.linkedin.com/in/elisabethmichaud

or visit my resume here on the blog.

For the rest of me, deduce what you will from the following details:

  • I'm Gen Y and proud of it. Yeah, there are a few of us Gen Ys who are entitled, lazy, job-hopping idiots, but I'm convinced that they aren't in the norm. Inspirational peers of mine have proved otherwise, at least to me.
  • I'm a little obsessed with brands (in the strategic sense, not the label-transfixed, couture-loving, Vouge-reading, stiletto-sporting sense). I absolutely love thinking about what's going on inside the consumer's head, what makes them gravitate towards which product, and how marketing, advertising, and pr agencies do their best to steer all of us in so many different directions.
  • I tweet up a storm on a regular basis (find me @emichaud). The word "addiction" has been tossed around, but I'm still in denial about it. On good days, I also follow what Mark Zuckerberg and the team over at Facebook are up to. Still not convinced that the new Facebook messaging platform is going to replace my beloved Gmail, though.
  • I've grown up in Boston in the sense that I went to college here (Harvard, which is technically in Cambridge across the river), started my career here, and have had my best and worst commuting experiences of my life on the good old MBTA. I became who I am here (though I prefer not to use phrases like "found myself", which might imply that I was lost). This all being said, I was actually born in Maine--land of lobster, pine trees, lighthouses, potatoes, and summer beach days that can't be beat.
  • As I've mentioned on other parts of the blog, I'm a huge grammar nerd. Incorrect usage of your/you're and their/there/they're just kill me.
  • Yes, you read my name right: it's spelled with an "s" instead of a "z". Chalk it up to my crazy Acadian ancestry.
