Origins of Information Overload Explored By Historian Michael Mendle - If you are in Washington, D.C. this season, be sure to visit Dr. Michael Mendle’s exhibit at the famous Folger Shakespeare Library. Mendle, a professor in the Department of History, has co-curated “Technologies of Writing in the Age of Print” which is open through February. It explores the ways in which individuals in early modern Europe relied upon pen and paper to negotiate what is now referred to as “information overload.”
