2012 Market Direction - The Solar3.0/Department of Energy platform will identify the Top 100 highest priority US Cities and/or regional markets to accelerate in 2012. The Summit will harness industry, financial, and political capital to create a blueprint for pushing 100 US Cities closer to grid parity faster through implementation of national best in class cost reduction strategies.

This is our moment!

The Summit invites you to engage via the Solar3.0 platform to identify the Top 100 US Cities in 2012 poised as market tipping points.

Clear Outcomes:  Each working track (Finance, Performance, Permitting, Inspection, Interconnection, and Workforce) attacks current market barriers for residential and commercial PV markets and provides practical, immediate solutions that reduce costs, lower prices for consumers, and increase capital flowing into these sectors.

The format is a series of 2-day workshop-driven tracks, comprising a unique mix of over 200 motivated executives, investors, entrepreneurs, and other leaders from both private and public sectors. The output from these tracks will be incorporated into setting the priorities for the DOE funded Solar3.0/National program to impact up to 100 local U.S. markets in 2012.  For a more in-depth look at the Working Tracks use this link:  Details

WHAT'S NEW?...

Forward Thinking:  Expanded Day 2 - Solar3.0 Solution Path Development
In 2011 we introduced the Solar3.0 Platform for Process Innovation - A vision for standardization that looks at streamlining industry processes across the United States in order to remove up to $1/Watt of market friction across residential and commercial sectors.

For 2012, we will take Day 1 working groups one step further - Who does what, when, in which target states and cities across the U.S.?

WHY ATTEND?...
Shared Success:  Network, solve problems real-time, and share best practices through working sessions with top thought leaders in the solar industry.  The Summit provides a unique, constant two-way dialogue, contrary to many conferences.

Real, Actionable Tools:  You will gain insight into tools developed in response to critical issues facing our industry, ranging from permitting and performance best practices, to workforce readiness and installation, interconnection and streamlining of financing transactions as well as energy efficiency and solar thermal.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?...

  • Appointed and Elected Officials
