Let’s take a moment to bow our heads in memory of one of the most incredible—and short-lived—bands of all time, “The Dirty Mac.” Though they formed only for one song, John Lennon’s “Yer Blues” from the Beatles’ “White Album,” the Mac, consisting of John Lennon, a post-Cream Eric Clapton, The Experience’s Mitch Mitchell (arguably the greatest rock drummer of the 1960s), and Keith Richards on bass, were clearly the supergroup of the future. Filmed in 1968 for the Stones “Rock ‘n’ Roll Circus” (unaired) TV special, this video is the only record we have of the living Mount Rushmore of rock…
