Note to Original Moreover.com Free Feed Users – And A Big Word of Thanks!

Dear Moreover.com free feed users -

After much discussion, we recently took the decision that it was finally time to retire the original Moreover.com free news feeds. We’ve been serving our free feeds since 1999 (ahh, those halcyon pre-bubble-burst days), and it’s not without a touch of sadness that we call time on the service. We recently placed a notice at the top of the news feeds to try and alert our users that the service was going away.

The reason for the decision, in a nutshell, is that Moreover Technologies’ future lies with the enterprise market, where we’ve successfully provided media intelligence services for many years. In these economically challenging times, it no longer made sense for us to bear the running costs of the original free feeds.

So we wish to salute all our loyal news feed fans over the years!! We definitely made some waves when we launched our news aggregation  service way back when, I guess you could say you caught one with us.  Sorry we had to stop.

For those who are interested, we do have a fantastic enterprise offering, including high quality news feeds with many refining features. Contact us if you would like to find out more, on +1 703 650 1400 (US), +44 (0)20 7253 5003 (UK), email salesinfo@moreover.com, or visit our website at www.moreover.com.

Again, we wish to thank you for your loyalty and support during all these years, and encourage you to consider our enterprise service as an excellent alternative.

        The Team at Moreover

The Future of Information Gathering and Delivery

Thank you to PSMG (Professional Services Marketing Group) for the article mention in their January publication of the Professional Services Management Guide.

Our own Fareita Udoh discussed how many companies operate in a complex media and information landscape and are dependent on a large number of information outlets for media content such as content aggregators, press monitoring agencies and free media tools. Got Big Data Overload in 2012?

              Happy New Year!

In 2012 most of us are experiencing “big data” overload coupled with rising expectations to find the most relevant and actionable media intelligence in the least amount of time. It’s a challenge that’s only going to become more daunting.

That is, unless efforts are consolidated, coordinated and standardized to make the entire process simpler, faster and laser-focused on finding the most valuable information. Moreover’s Rossen Roussev has firsthand experience of how such a program enhanced both the quality and timeliness of information used by a major energy company, while saving them millions in the first year alone.

Newsdesk Up For Its 3rd CODiE Award!

The SIIA just released their list of finalists for the 2012 CODiE awards. Moreover is in the running for an award in the category of Best Content Aggregation Service.

If you remember, this past January Newsdesk not only won Best Information Solution, but also took home the “best in show” award.

Since that time, our developers have been working away at improving Newsdesk. Moreover’s coverage of news has increased by 6000 sources and our vetted social media sources have doubled with more on the way. We’ve added the ability to search over news broadcasts and view the video of the results. Searches can be run over licensed and open content, and print articles with links to PDFs of the originals. Clients can add more sources on request, rounding out a 360 degree view of the news and social media landscape.

                Here’s to an award-winning 2012!
