The Frozen Tide

The Pelham Civic Complex is proud to be the home ice for the BAMA Club Hockey program. With the win over Auburn in 2011 Iron Cup, the Frozen Tide has a tremendous fan base in the Birmingham area. Fans drive to Pelham for home games each winter to enjoy a great game of hockey. Tickets are $5 at the door and season tickets are available. The Tide and Tigers hit the ice for the first ever “Battle for the Iron Cup” January 14 – 16, 2011. The Iron Cup Trophy was donated through the generosity of President Witt and Provost Judy Bonner’s offices at the University of Alabama. “It’s the Alabama/Auburn version of the Stanley Cup and we want to hoist it above our heads and skate across the ice at the Pelham Civic Complex” Assistant Coach David Nobles stated prior to the final game on Sunday afternoon.
