GMSMA LEATHERFEST includes NCSF "The Right to Sexual Freedom" Symposium

GMSMA, the nation's leading not-for-profit organization of gay men interested in "safe, sane and consensual" s/m, is proud to annouce the 22nd Annual LEATHERFEST. Additionally, in partnership with the National Coalition on Sexual Freedom, GMSMA will present a day-long symposium on "THE RIGHT TO SEXUAL FREEDOM".

THE RIGHT TO SEXUAL FREEDOM symposium will cover current issues facing the gay, straight fetish, and other alternative communities, including:

• Recent actions by the US Department of Justice (DoJ) restricting and limiting our Constitutional freedoms to privacy and sexual freedom
• Issues surrounding the Internet/publication and obscenity/Community Decency Act
• Photography and its application to current DoJ regulations
• Activism Options to fight these and other proposed/potential restrictions

2006 Media Activity Report

NCSF has an active media committee which provides interviews for print, radio, and television. We creates press releases, action alerts, and entertainment media updates. The Media committee also provides media training and coaching to coalition partners, advocacy groups and responds to hundreds of media related queries. With the action around the CDA lawsuit as well as other media events, this has been a busy year. This report details NCSF media activites over the last twelve months.

2005 Incident Response Report

In 2005, the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom (NCSF) again took the lead in defending the rights of individuals and groups in the SM-leather-fetish, swing and polyamory communities. NCSF's coalition of over 40 educational and social groups is committed to creating a political, legal, and social environment in the United States that advances equal rights of consenting adults who practice forms of alternative sexual expression.
