The San Diego State University Police Department has a force of 29 sworn police officers and 50 civillian support staff. Our police officers are graduates of the California Peace Officers Standards Training Academy and have peace officer powers throughout the State of California. Whether on foot, behind the wheel of a patrol car, or patrolling on bicycle, they are here to protect and serve the campus community and adjacent neighborhood 24 hours a day. The officers work in a diverse environment and take pride in delivering superior law enforcement services to the College Area Community. Our department offers a wide variety of opportunities from basic patrol functions to specialty positions. Some of those positions include:
