A clown. A grieving sister. Twelve miraculous dates.
Christmas 2012
THE UNEDITED (AND REALLY ROUGH) BLURB:
Ryland Davids, a children’s hospital administrator, had been attracted to Jennalyn James from the first moment he saw her. He’d told himself there was plenty of time to get to know her, but then her much younger sister died from complications of her traumatic brain injury, and Jennalyn stopped coming to the hospital. Her absence, though understandable, saddens him and many of the young patients she and her sister had befriended almost a year later. Then she walks back in while he’s performing for the kids.
Event planner Jennalyn has avoided all contact from the hospital where she spent so much time with her much younger sister Sabrina, and where she held Sabrina in her last hours…until a DVD is delivered. It’s a message from Sabrina encouraging Jennalyn to always embrace life. Trying to be brave, Jennalyn returns to the hospital just as the resident clown is wrapping up his show. Reminded too painfully of how much Sabrina loved the show, Jennalyn turns to leave, but instead finds herself pulled into the show. Afterwards, she is whisked to the administration offices where she agrees to help plan A Month of Miracles for the kids in the hospital.
Over the course of twelve outings, Ryland and Jennalyn discover shared interests and a passion she hadn’t expected and doesn’t want. With the help of some special friends, can Ryland help Jennalyn rediscover the spark she had when Sabrina was alive? Or will he push her more deeply into grief?
