Lee Ranaldo releasing solo record in March via Matador with multiple former Sonic Youth members

The Matablog announced today that the parent Matador Records will release the latest solo album from Sonic Youth's Lee Ranaldo on March 20.  Between The Times & The Tides will feature Lee alongside many guest musicians including Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley, former Sonic Youth members Bob Bert and Jim O'Rourke, along with Nels Cline, Alan Licht, John Medeski and Irwin Menkin.  Last month core Sonic Youth members Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore announce their separation after 27 years of marriage, and the future of the band after their confirmed November shows is up in the air.
