RunWenatchee St. Paddys Pub Run and more…

    by RunWenatchee on 03/08/2012 · 0 comments

On March 15th, we will be having our monthly pub run at Saddlerock Brewery, downtown Wenatchee at 5:30 pm. The run is an informal 3-6 miler on the Apple Capital Loop Trail, with beer and food at the brewery afterwards. Since it is very close to St. Patrick’s Day, wear some green to celebrate the holiday!  See you there!

Also, track workouts have started at the Wenatchee High School Track at 5:30 pm on Tuesdays. We have groups training for 5k/10k, Half and Full Marathon so come on out and get a great workout and meet some new running partners!

Just a reminder, registration is open for all of our events: Red Devil 25k Trail Run, Lake Chelan Shore to Shore Marathon and Half Marathon, River Run at the Taste of the Harvest Festival and our annual Thanksgiving Day Run.  Our website(s) are www.runwenatchee.com and www.lakechelanmarathon.com for more details and to register.

    Happy Training!

    Winter Imaginings

by RunWenatchee January 5, 2012 Marlene Farrell Blog

Do you know what those dark, wet, frigid winter days, the definition of runners’ misery, are good for?  They are excellent opportunities for dreaming of the past and planning for the future.  I’m writing this with my friends on the Cascade cross country team in mind, but runners of all ages can go through this [...]

    View from the sidelines

by RunWenatchee December 9, 2011 Marlene Farrell Blog

By Marlene Farrell The word “magnanimous” doesn’t slip freely from my tongue, but I can’t help but think it a fitting description of my friend, Greg. I first met Greg through the virtue of his generosity. In 2007, he ran an entire marathon with a stranger (me) so she could achieve an Olympic Trials qualifying [...]
