Taking the combined roles of artist, urban planner, activist, researcher, and resident, he starts residencies and commissions without a specified agenda, working with local people and resources, allowing the physical, social and political environment to define his working methodology. He has exhibited extensively in galleries and festivals including TATE Britain; BALTIC, Gateshead; CCA, Glasgow; Modern Art Oxford; Liverpool Biennial.

LIFT www.liftfestival.com
Established in 1981 by Rose Fenton and Lucy Neal, LIFT, London International Festival of Theatre, has risen to become one of the most important events in the British arts scene, with an influence that reaches far beyond London. Working with artists from across the world to find new ways of seeing the city, LIFT’s rich and varied programming has presented extraordinary events in both conventional theatres and in more unusual spaces such as disused power stations, churches and canal basins.

Founded on the conviction that theatre has the power to surprise and stimulate as well as entertain, LIFT has constantly challenged the status quo and continues to actively engage different audiences and communities. LIFT both leads and looks over the ever-changing landscape of contemporary theatre and London itself, offering a panoramic view that will take your breath away.

DARTER darter.co
DARTER is a group of three artists – Chloe Cooper, Phoebe Davies and Louisa Martin – who make art in response to particular social contexts. With a predominantly live or performative approach, DARTER’s work aims to playfully interrupt established social codes and conventions that shape or frame how we perceive an event, interaction or architectural space. Working with and responding to specific contexts and audiences, DARTER appropriates and subverts behavioural norms, documentary media and the tools of academia in order to explore how meaning is constructed collectively.
