Artist: Xander & Niederreiter (feat. Elwood)
Release: Sunshine EP
Release / Cat. #: GLO014
Release date: OUT NOW / 2012-02-24 (all digital stores)

Xander & Niederreiter & Elwood from Austria are bringing summer forward for us! “Sunshine” feat. Suverena is a damn sexy piece of house music with a really lovely voice reminding us a bit of Róisin Murphy. And Whitesquare’s remix is making a prime time remix with a haunting groove out of it. The Stereo Youth from Switzerland gave a top-class treatment to “From Time To Time” (the b-side) with some very erotic pads and wind sections.

Whitesquare – Make it Rain EP

Artist: Whitesquare
Release: Make It Rain EP
Release / Cat. #: GLO013
Release date: OUT NOW / 2012-01-27 (all digital stores)

For us Whitesquare is one oft he hottest house producers coming out of Italy at the moment. 2012 will be a great year for him and it’s starting with a gorgeous new EP. The first track Secretalism will blow your mind if you’re a fan of stripped-down synth bass sounds, which we know from guys like Tanner Ross or Art Deparment. Plugs has a hypnotizing groove and this wonderful lush deep mood. She Drives is a perfect tune for late night afterparties. When the vocal comes in, you will definitely see all hands up in the air. Wanna bet? Swiss producer collective Trinidad slow down Plugs a bit, focus on the hookline and add some wonderful piano lines. Klasse Recordings’ Mr. Ho’s take on She Drives flowers out very slowly and when the bassline kicks in after two minutes, we’ll definitely will all go crazy on the dancefloor.

One Year Globelle Compilation

Artist: VA
Release: One Year Globelle Compilation
Release / Cat. #: GLOCOMP001
Release date: OUT NOW / 2012-01-06 (all digital stores)

It’s been an exciting first year for our baby Globelle and the entire family. Therefore we decided to release a status quo compilation, featuring a selection of our favourite tracks and remixes as well as some fresh and unreleased tunes. Musing Machine’s album „Episodes of a muser“ was a definite highlight for us, we’re still listening to it on cloudy and rainy sundays in our living rooms. „New beginning“ was the album opener and we also felt it’s a good start here cause it has this pleasing atmosphere of departure. Whitesquare is contributing two new tracks „All Eyes On Me“ and „Street Dreams“ – a deep house tune with oldschool vibes and a soulful and funky house stomper. Label co-owner Christian Strobe, who recently did an official remix for Katy Perry, shows up with his new cosmic indie dance track „Helen“ and a very catchy disco house remix from Keenhouse for his „Midnight Call“ EP. The Stereo Youth’s take on Fex Fellini’s „New Orleans“ hasn’t lost its hypnotic fire and timesless mood. Jean Nipon’s innovative blend of tech house and 2step for our russian guys Cosmo Nuts, which was supported by the Sound Pellegrino Crew and other big names, is also worth a fresh look. Trrbo, formerly known as Tim Turbo, shows up again with his refreshing urban 2step remix on Madeline Puckette’s „Everything Is Alright“, which was definitely one of our big favourites this year. And Fex Fellini rounds it up with his super chilled classic house anthem „Move Me“. Happy New Year!

Five Finger Discount – Slice Then Dice EP

Artist: Five Finger Discount
Release: Slice Then Dice EP
Release / Cat. #: GLO012
Release date: OUT NOW / 2011-10-28 (all digital stores)

Five Finger Discount are Jonny Strinati & Chris Hughes, who have been enjoying previous success as breaks outfit Groove Allegiance and running Splank! Records. After taking a leave of absence, they’re back with their new tech house project Five Finger Discount. Their first EP lined up on Acidkids Records already brought them some enthusiastic supporters in the tech & deep house scene. Jonny and Chris have such a great and high-quality output at the moment, so we signed their second ‘Slice Then Dice EP’ on Globelle without thinking twice. It’s containing three astonishing well-prodced tunes: ‘Slice Then Dice’ is a pounding tech house tune with some clean and pulsating synth stabs, certainly a real peak time blast. ‘Dronkie’ is all about the groovy stuff, tropical vocal vibes, a hypnotizing beat shaking the booties. And ‘Quicksand’ rounds it up with a buzzy hookline and a roller-coaster buildup, so there’s nothing else for it but to throw your hands in the air and dance into the wee hours of the night.

Whitesquare – Oral Use EP

Artist: Whitesquare
Release: Oral Use EP
Release / Cat. #: GLO011
Release date: OUT NOW / 2011-09-09 (all digital stores)

Whitesquare is a brand new house project by Italy based Maurice Uzzan. When he was sending some demo tunes to our inbox, we had one of these rare love-at-first-sight moments: You listen to a track and you really get hooked on a groove. Listening to Oral Use for the first time, you can hardly control your body and feet from bopping along with the beat. A brilliant peak time tech house tune, that stands out with a simple but striking bassline, deep stabs and this catchy male voice. By adding more groove to the original, german duo Hickup (Dirtybird / Sweat It Out!) are creating a powerful and driving house track with a really deep bassline. Fex Fellini (Globelle / Top Billin) slows it down, switches over to a laid-back classic house feeling and rounds it up with some rhodes and a jazzy wind section. Finally Whitesquare’s b-side Dusty Mornings comes around with a more percussive structure, hypnotizing vocals and a deep mood.

Christian Strobe – Midnight Call (12″ / Digital)

July 03, 2011 by: Christian

spacer
Artist: Christian Strobe
Release: Midnight Call
Release / Cat. #: GLO010
Release date: 2011-07-22 [Digital] // 2011-07-08 [Vinyl]

Did you ever hear about Christian Strobe? No? Hardly surprising, cause it’s a brand new solo-project by Christian Schnall, one half of Disco Trash Music (maximal electro) and Spruce (dreamy shoegaze). The German guy is musically rooted in the 80ies and early 90ies and as Christian Strobe, he combines airy new wave pop, retro-futurism with a pinch of house.

The original mix of ‘Midnight Call’ is full of magic, desire and an airy atmosphere, but still a simple pop song. The Nightdrive Version is recommended for nightly rides with your Ferrari Testarossa through big city lights. The Italo-disco-pop-masters from Codebreaker gives the original a funky french taste and reknowned Keenhouse conjured a good-feeling remix with lovley summer-piano-chords. Midnight Call? You could name it Sunshine Call! In a more and more digital environment, the warmth of the analog VHS-Tape Version gives you the relaxing mood you need. The placid ‘Lonesome Astronaut’ completed the Debut-EP and takes you to a cosmic trip though time and space.

Stay tuned for the upcoming full-length album called ‘Heartworks’ in autumn 2011.
