Begin Your Cedar Enzyme Bath
in Your Private Japanese Tea Garden

spacer Relax in the Tea Garden

Your journey begins when you change into a Japanese robe provided by Osmosis and enter the tea garden, where your personal bath attendant serves you an organic herbal tea blended to complement the Enzyme Bath treatment.

The tea is mixed with enzymes made from more than 25 different organically grown plants. As a digestive aid the enzyme tea is soothing and warm, and works in conjunction with the metabolic processes that occur during the bath.

Next, your attendant shows you to the private bath area (enjoy the baths with or without a bathing suit). Cozy wooden tubs are filled with a fragrant blend of finely ground cedar, rice bran, and plant enzymes imported from Japan. These ingredients heat naturally by fermentation, spacer creating biologically generated warmth that mimics the body's natural metabolic process. Settle Into Warmth

Once a place for your body is dug into the warm mixture, you step into the tub, settle into the place that has been shaped to support you, and are gently covered up to the chin. During the bath, you will feel the unique quality of the heat working through your body and you may perspire. The sensation may feel unusual, but will spacer quickly become quite comfortable. The experience is deeply relaxing and restful. Surrender to stillness and breathe deeply and naturally.

Listen to Your Body

The amount of time spent in the bath varies based upon personal preference. Be attentive to your body! Longer is not necessarily better. Many people find themselves drifting between dreaming and waking, and lose a sense of time. Your trained attendant will quietly slip in with cool cloths and water just when you need it, and will be there to gently rouse you at the appropriate moment. Note: As in any heat treatment you are advised not to stay in excess of 20 minutes.

After the Bath

After the bath, the excess cedar fiber is brushed off your body outside of the tub with the help of your attendant and then you shower. After you dry off, continue on to one of these optional services:

  • Lie down in a resting room, covered warmly in a blanket, and listen to a Metamusic tape which helps you to further relax and balance brain wave activity, or
  • Experience a 75-minute massage--especially wonderful in combination with the Cedar Enzyme Bath, it is our most popular package, or
  • Enjoy a healing 75-minute aromatherapy facial with all organic products, and including warm foot compresses. This combination of treatments leaves the skin aglow and renewed.

Saturday Schedule: Enzyme Baths with blanket wrap appointments are available on Saturdays after 5pm. Baths scheduled on Saturdays prior to 5pm must be accompanied by a massage or facial.
