Davis Named Outstanding Teacher

spacer Greg Davis, associate professor of Landscape Design, has been awarded 'The David Mugler Teaching Award' for 2012, from the K-State Ag Alumni Association.  Check out the Awards and Honors page.

 


Miller Receives GPN Top 40 Under 40 Recognition

spacer Chad Miller, faculty member in Horticulture, Forestry and Recreation Resources, has been selected by Greenhouse Product News, as one of the top 40 individuals under the age of 40 who are going to help shape the future direction of the horticulture industry. He will be featured in the May 2012 GPN issue, along with a special reception at the OFA Short Course in Columbus, Ohio in July.


Bremer Recognized as Outstanding Editor

spacer Dale Bremer, faculty member in Turfgrass Science, has been awarded the Outstanding Associate Editor Award from the editorial board of the journal Crop Science.
 

 


50th Anniversary

spacer The Pecan Experiment Field, in Chetopa, Kansas will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary, with a Field Day, in September 2012.   
 

 


Ph.D. Student Matt Wilson Earns First Place in Research Competition

spacer Graduate student Matt Wilson earned first place in the Ph.D. Student Competition at the Southern Nurseryman's Association annual research conference held in conjunction with the Gulf States Horticultural Expo in Mobile, Alabama, on January 18, 2012.  The title of his presentation was 'Feeding Preference of Southern Pine Sawyer Beetle on Four Species of Pine.'
