November 15, 2006. Edmonton Public Library Chooses SirsiDynix for Self-Checkout System. SirsiDynix announced that the Edmonton Public Library has chosen SirsiDynix to implement the library's radio-frequency identification self-checkout system. November 14, 2006. Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University selects integrated library management system from Endeavor Information Systems . Endeavor Information Systems announced that Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University has selected Voyager, the company's flagship integrated library systems. The university also plans to implement Meridian, the company's electronic resource management system; Curator, Endeavor's resource management solution for searching, creating and managing digital collections; and the company's analysis and reporting module, Analyzer. <<more>>


November 14, 2006. Santa Rosa County Library System launches WebFeat Express Search Prism. The Santa Rosa County Library System in Florida has launched a WebFeat Express federated search solution. With WebFeat Express, Library patrons can now simultaneously search more than 40 electronic resourcesincluding the Library catalog, several Florida-specific resources and thousands of newspapers, magazines and journals representing millions of pages of content. WebFeat Express can be accessed from within any of the Santa Rosa County community libraries, or it may be accessed remotely with a valid library ID via the Library's website. <<more>>

Ex Libris Group has announced that National Aeronautics and Space Administration Johnson Space Center selected the MetaLib library portal and SFX, the context-sensitive link server, to power its electronic search and link environment. <<more>>


November 13, 2006. Westchester Library System Chooses SirsiDynix Unicorn. SirsiDynix announced the Westchester Library System in Tarrytown, N.Y., recently chose the SirsiDynix Unicorn Library Management System. WLS services 38 member libraries in Westchester County and a large county population of almost 950,000. WLS will install Oracle, Unicode, Director's Station and SVA telephone notification, in addition to a large EnvisionWare print and PC component. <<more>>
