Let the Barbecue Season Start

April 14th, 2010

It’s time to clean off your grills, put on your shorts and sandels and experience the day out bbqing and puffing countless Cigars. with my favorite cigars, I love to drink a drink of scotch and just relax. After such a long winter, which appeared to be longer than years past, last weekend was perfect BBQ weather. I was able to ultimately open all of my windows and air out the house. I do not smoke inside, but it needed displaying out anyhow. I tuned up my grass mower because yes, unfortunately it is that time of year also. The snow is gone and the grass is growing. I do not mind cutting my grass and keeping the turf up. There’s really a great satisfaction to a good looking grass and worth all the effort. This past weekend, I smoked my favourite cigar and BBQ’d up some ribs and pork steaks. I really like to think of myself as the master chef, king of the griddle. There is nothing like lighting those coals and going to the town on abundant meats and veggies. Of course I’m a charcoal man, I love the flavour of the griddle. If you use gas, it does not get the smokey flavour that I like and is way overrated. I invited all of my pals and obviously the other half and children were there. It is a little to cold to swim yet, but once commemorative day comes around, I’m going to open the pool for the season. My children love swimming and splashing around, I am also known to take a dip with cigar and scotch in hand. Summer is just such a great time to get together with family and friends and enjoying life they way you wish to.

Buying Your Portable Humidor

March 17th, 2010

There is nothing better than lighting up a smoke when its time to let go, either after work, on the golf course and after we take care of something major, like an individual and a pro fulfillment.  And the longer we puff on smokes and become more familiar with smokes – the more we find out about looking after them.  And naturally when we begin to smoke hand rolled, dearer brands, we discover how vital it is to keep them at there ideal level of freshness.  You didn’t have to worry about getting a traveling case for your Dutch Master Cigars that you used to purchase. So when it is time to travel with our smokes -or even if we only want a better way to store them while going to work or out on small business dinners -we definitely need a easier way to guard there flavour, as well as carry them properly.  And choosing a Cigar Travel Humidor should be something that we take slightly seriously.  Truthfully, when you concentrate on it, more folks will see our travel humidor than will see our home or first humidor.  So picking a good, quality travelling humidor should be treated with the same sort of thought and detail as when we chose our home humidor.  Here are some tips for selecting a travelling humidor : These are the basics, but knowing them will prepare you for your search.  The Size- fundamentally, how many cigars will you travel with.  Don’t be scared to over do it a bit.  Clearly, it’s better to have more space than not enough.  Lid and Seal – Depending on the type of humidor you want – whether it be a solid case / box -or a leather one – The lid should close on a cushion of air.  We don’t want ANY air within our humidor.  Air is the enemy and regardless of size, we should always purchase a cigar travel humidor that follows the same elements as a regular humidor.  Inside and Lining – For traveling, our cigar humidor desires fingered casing so that our cigars stay nice and snug during our travels -especially for long distance trips.  And a good insulated material is always a plus .  Humidifier Device – I’ve seen some fellows that essentially paid money on a humidor with no humidifier device – and its a total let down.  The Humidifier is the backbone of a good, quality travel humidor.  That’s what controls the inside humidity levels within the cigar travel humidor.

Producing Cigars with Quality Construction

February 10th, 2010

Just as the european wine industry experienced tension and growing pains as US wine producers gained international accolades, the Cuban cigar industry must face market realities that they are no longer the world leader in cigar production and cigar quality.  In fact, the lifting of the Embargo ( whatever that means ) won’t, can not return Cuba to its glory days.  The cigar industry has taken root and gained force in a number of the nations mentioned above, and there is not any indication that they may go out of business if the embargo is lifted.  They are gaining notoriety and accolades for making quality products that the united states cigar backer has grown to accept and love.

Cigar: Complete Social Conduct

February 4th, 2010

Selecting Cigars: The ring gauge of the cigar will give you a general indication of how strong the flavor is. The bigger the ring size, typically means, the smoother, fuller, slower and cooler the cigar will be. Cutting a smoke: The head of a hand rolled cigar must be cut before lighting it. You can do this with punch cutters, cigar scissors, or guillotine cutters. The guillotine is recommended for the most effective cut. Make sure not to snip the complete cap off, because it may damage the wrapper. Premium cigar lovers are known for their enjoyment of food and wine. One of the best times to offer a cigar is after a meal. Other great times to indulge in your favorite cigars can be: during or after business meetings, while walking the dog, while on your way to and from work or practically just any time you’re looking to enjoy the fulfillment and relaxation you get by a fine cigar. Smoking a Fine Cigar: Cigars are meant to be enjoyed and savored for the feel, taste and the aroma. Draw slowly. Don’t puff to hard. If your cigar goes out, it is proper to relight it within one to two hours. Any later than that, it will taste limp.
