With more than a nod to the great adventure classics of the last century, The
Bother in Burmeon is the story of a boy who is whisked back to 1962 to join his grandfather, a pilot, on a mission in an exotic South-East Asian setting. Whether
he is piloting a flying boat, pitting his wits against a mad would-be dictator, detonating a makeshift bomb or rescuing a captive tiger, all that Billy does is for real the TV and the
computer games have been left behind in the 21st century.
About the author
This original adventure story, which manages to be enchanting and exciting at the same time, was the winner of the
Earlyworks Press
Novels for Children or Teens Competition. Author Susan Imgrund (aka S P
Moss) has won herself a 100 advance and a publishing contract with Circaidy Gregory.
The cover illustration was commissioned from Joy Chan, and the book is to be
launched on 11th April 2012. Susan says:
"The 13th will never be unlucky for me again: it was on this date that the email arrived with the fantastic news that my story had won the Earlyworks Fiction for Children or Teens competition. Im still over the moon, particularly when I consider the experience of the judges and the quality of the entries overall. I have decided to follow my intuition and take the prize offering a small press publishing contract. Itll be an adventure for me, too, but its brilliant to have the support of people who believe in my story as much as I do."

Flying and travel are in Susan Mosss blood she visited four of the worlds continents before starting school. She read avidly and wrote determinedly in between plotting to become a spy and building brother-proof camps.
She studied Psychology at Trinity College, Cambridge, taking part in some interesting experiments in parapsychology as well as playing trumpet in a Big Band.
A chance meeting in an Austrian ski hut resulted in more travel this time to Germany, where she now lives in a small town outside Frankfurt with her husband and son.
She still makes use of her trumpet-playing, spying and camp-building skills in her busy life as an author, mother and freelance marketing consultant.
