Is it really an imperative nowadays to expose children even toddlers to social media? Makers of the IOBR contraption seem to think so. And the earlier, the better they seem to imply. What is IOBR? Well, simply put its like a block-sorting toy that will provide information to their parents and even friends of whatever they are up to, sort of like Twitter.
This device doesnt require reading or writing skills (as if toddlers would have those skills already). The blocks contain icons of what toddlers usually do like eating, sleeping, brushing, and combing. Toddlers just have to pick up these blocks and place them on the appropriate slot/shape in the IOBR device. However, to transmit updates to another household they need to a web service called Iobridge.
So how will this device benefit the children? The way I see it, children will be able to learn to identify shapes since the blocks come in different shapes. But I think thats basically it. As for parents, this will help them train their children to be quicker in their activities.
A question to parents out there; what can you say about the IOBR? Do you think it will help your childs development?
