RESTProvider – www.github.com/novoda/restprovider/
Providers offer an abstraction from data sources on Android and the RESTProvider Automatically parses RESTful API responses into a Provider. RESTProvider is an implementation of all commonly re-implemented functionality when dealing with web services in Android. Users can seamlessly interface with any Web Service API which provides JSON or XML as a response. To query a RESTProvider in an activity a user need only specify an endpoint and then query an APIs RESTful functions. RESTProvider also handles all HTTP querying & caching.
OAuth Providers and Dashboard – www.github.com/novoda/oauth/
This is an OAuth Library/frontend for Android which uses Content Providers in order to access and store results from OAuth data services. Users can choose to authenticate their application from a number of preinstalled OAuth using services. Developers need no longer concern themselves with the proper handling of OAuth authentication, instead handing off responsibility to the OAuth providers. Using this method there are two main benefits; After an initial authentication, users can then opt to presume this application authenticated and users need not trust closed source, third party applications with their credentials.
