Beeses 7th Beer Festival
This year’s BeerFest will be on Friday 7 - Saturday 8 September 2012. Tickets will be on sale at the bar as soon as Beeses re-opens.
As with last year’s festival, entry to Beeses on Saturday 8 September will only be possible with a beer festival ticket. We try not to have closed events, but the numbers that we have attracted on the beerfest Saturday for the past four years means it is essential that we have some controls. So spread the word - it’s a long way back up that lane after being turned away!
Each ticket includes a free pint. As in previous years, part of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Friends of Eastwood Farm and Friends of Troopers Hill groups. They are volunteers who work hard to maintain the Local Nature Reserves on both sides of the river near to Beeses for wildlife to thrive and people to enjoy.
We had some great music again last year, not least from the mighty Elvis Fontenot and the Sugar Bees who have now done tore the place up in 2009, 2010 and 2011 with some footstompin’, jug-blowin’, washboard-scrubbin’ zydeco. You can check out this year’s acts on our Calendar. Just as soon as we put them up there.
We are hopeful that public boat trips will once again run from the city centre on the Saturday, and the details will be here as soon as we have them.
