About

Hi everyone, I’m Hannah, and I live in San Diego with my husband Greg and our cat, Sid. We’re originally from Milwaukee, but we moved to San Diego in July of 2011. I can’t imagine returning to the snow and gloom ever again!

I have a B.S. in Biological Sciences, and I’m studying to become an MLT. I have a million interests when it comes to science, so I’m having fun exploring my options and getting some hands-on experience before I apply to graduate school. Greg is working on his Ph.D. in Computer Music at UC-San Diego.

Greg and I met in January of 2006 at UW-Milwaukee, where we both did our undergraduate work. We had a Computer Science class together, and we’d hang out and talk in the hall before every class. It was the best class of my undergraduate career, though I don’t remember anything about the material. It wasn’t love at first sight, by the end of the semester, I thought my computer science buddy was really something special.

Shortly after the semester ended, I left for Florida on a family vacation. During the trip, Greg and I talked every day, mostly through Facebook messages (I still have all of these messages, and they are so fun to re-read). Before my trip was over, we had made arrangements to meet up at the Milwaukee Art Museum when I returned. I don’t remember exactly how it happened, but I think Greg decided that we should just go ahead and call it a date. I was absolutely astounded that he liked me back (I’m still astounded. I was 17 and a huge dork).

Our first date went well. We decided to have another. Our first kiss took occurred on June 10, 2006. We tied the knot exactly 4 years later on June 10, 2010.

From one former Milwaukee resident (now in San Diego) to you in the snow. I was in Milwaukee in October and was very impressed with all the great new food stores.
You should make a pot of couscous to go with the walnut cookies. Couscous in the Stye of Casablanca is the absolutely perfect meal when you are snowed in. And you can purchase the necessary spices from The Spice House on 3rd street!

    What beautiful cats!

My Beans like food too! Wait, so do I.

My Momma is also married to her best friend.

I would like more of a plant-based diet but my Momma shoos me away from the plants.

    Nice to meetcha.
