Pcsphonetones has added Sprint ringtone and screensaver support for the following phones:
- Samsung Reclaim M560
- LG LX-290
- BlackBerry Tour 9630
- Samsung Exclaim M550
- LG LX-370 / UX-370
- Sanyo SCP-2700
We have also added ringtone support for the Palm Pre. We have not tested the BlackBerry Tour, please report any compatibility problems with any of these phone models in the Sprint phone message board.

Pcsphonetones Free Sprint Ringtones and Screensavers has added support for the new LG Rumor2/Banter/UX-265 and the Samsung Instinct S30. We are still working on the logistics of Pcsphonetones.com ver 3.0.

Pcsphonetones.com has been a free haven for sprint ringtones since 2003. Version 1 was active from 2003-2006. Version 2 (the current version) from 2006-2009. We are developing a new pcsphonetones.com (Version 3) that will be redesigned from the ground up. We hope to release the site sometime in March. Keep checking back :)

In the coming weeks we will be addressing a potential text message notification system for shared ringtones. We are also considering a friend network, which will allow you to auto-share ringtones and screensavers with friends in your network. Lastly, we are looking to upgrade the mail servers we use in our text messaging notification system.

Purevoice Ringtone Recording Software is back online at Qualcomm's website WCTConnect. Converter and SDK 3.1 available for Windows and Linux, Full version of 2.4.0 and 1.3.2 available for Windows, 2.0 for Mac 7-9 (OS10 users still need to use free qcp ringtone converter), also 1.0 available for UNIX Solaris, and 2.0 for Unix SCO.

Added ringtone support for Samsung Instinct M800 for Sprint, and Treo 800w
Only the ringtone compatibility has been tested on the Instinct, please let me know if you are able (or unable) to get screensavers to work. The Treo 800w is completely untested, but screensavers are not enabled. If you have problems getting ringtones to work, please post detailed descriptions of your experience in the "Sprint Phones" forum.

Added ringtone and screensaver support for Samsung M520, the slimline slider upgrade to the Samsung M510. Also improved compression quality on Sprint PCS phone screensaver uploads.
On the hardware front, Samsung's 3G Instinct is set for release in mid-June. It's an iPhone-like device compatible with the Sprint network.

Pcsphonetones.com has extended ringtone and screensaver storage length on our website to 30 days. Previously ringtones and screensavers would be "garbage collected" after 7 days on the server. Now you can upload and share your ringtones and screensavers with friends and family for 30 days without worrying about it being auto-deleted before they get a chance to download it.

We added ringtone only support for Palm Centro. If you have any issues with these phones, please post them in the message board, or use the contact form.

Ringtone and screensaver sharing is now enabled. If you make a ringtone or screensaver, you can share it with your friends. Just follow the link for "Share with another user", enter your friend's username and click "share". You can even share ringtones that were shared with you.

Analyst have estimated that Apple has already sold around 500,000 iPhones. Despite the higher Cingular (I refuse to call it AT&T) service plan, expensive batteries ($85 replacement battery), small storage size (compared to iPods), and the 55%+ profit margin that Apple is gobbling up, people are still lining up to get the iPhone.

- Qualcomm's Purevoice - if Windows is configured, you can use this to record purevoice ringtones (realtones) directly in the software from any sound playing on your computer.
- Anvil Studio Midi Editor - Use to create or edit polyphonic midi ringtones.
- Irfanview - Resize, crop, and convert formats of your favorite images to sizes and formats our site will support.

The newest version of Qualcomm's Purevoice allows you to use the record button to capture whatever sound is coming through your speakers to make a qcp file in one easy step. Record free ringtones (realtones) from any sounds you can get to play on your computer. Then just upload the qcp ringtone to your account, go to 3g.pcsphonetones.com with your phone, login, and you're ready to download the free ringtone to your phone. If you have any problems, check the forums for threads about setting your windows system sounds.

Business Week reports heightened talks about a buyout or acquisition of Sprint. The company has never improved it's foothold since the $35 billion dollar buyout of Nextel (which, like AT&T's attempt to rebrand, I've stated was/is a horrible idea). The report stated that the company was in the middle of a turnaround, I would call it more of a downward spiral.
