We are very excited to introduce a new resident ensemble, the most excellent Ars Viva Chamber Orchestra led by Dr. Jesse Henkensiefken. This family concert will feature American music, including Copland's Appalachian Spring and Gershwin's "Summertime." Featured soloists: London-born Soprano Alsion Buchanan and Russian Pianist Tatiana Tessman.

Dr. Henkensiefken will give an orchestration and instrument mid-concert lecture while engaging audience participation.

From the bombastic and epic to the folky and mystical, Get the Led Out have captured the essence of the recorded music of Led Zeppelin and brought it to the big concert stage like no other band. The group re-creates the songs in all their depth and glory with the studio overdubs that Zeppelin themselves never performed live. Get The Led Out present a two hour set each night that spans the mythic career of the legendary British supergroup. With a strong focus on the early years, they also touch on the deeper cuts that were seldom, if ever heard in concert.

Clearwater Earth Day Benefit Concert: A Tribute to Woody Guthrie (4/22)

Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, founded by Pete Seeger, presents its 2nd annual Earth Day Benefit Concert which will salute Woody Guthrie. Featured artists include Janis Ian, Tom Paxton, The Klezmatics, Tom Chapin, Toshi Reagon, David Amram, Lucy Kaplansky, Garland Jeffreys and Cheryl Wheeler. Proceeds to benefit Clearwater's Environmental Education and Camp Programs. 

Tickets range from $48-$125.  There are a limited number of "Clearwater Camper Sponsor" tickets ($250) and includes a premium seat and post concert reception.

Lowe held considerable influence over the development of punk rock as leader of the Brinsleys and producer for the Damned Elvis Costello and the Pretenders. As a solo artist, his "Cruel To Be Kind' is still a mainstay on radio.

The Musical Box Performs Genesis (5/10)
A MUSIC HALL/MUSIC WITHOUT BORDERS CO-PRESENTATION
The Musical Box bring their acclaimed reproduction of Genesis’ most loved album, “The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway”, to the Music Hall. The Musical Box are the only band in the world given performing rights by Peter Gabriel and Genesis, plus exclusive access to archives, audio tracks and original slideshow for "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway" to be re-staged 25 years after its release in painstaking detail. The show has been produced in some of the most prestigious venue in the world, including London's Royal Albert Hall and the Paris' Olympia. In 2005, Phil Collins joined the band on stage in Geneva.

WSW's final concert for the season features music inspired by all types of dance, and music that invites us to move, march, and meander. Our assistant conductor, Matt Kowalski, will take the podium to conduct Puszta, by Jan van der Roost. Our guest conductor is Brian Worsdale, Music Director of the NYC ISO Symphonic Band and NYC Big Apple Corps Gay & Lesbian Symphonic Band, who will conduct Arabesque, by Samuel R. Hazo. Our guest soloist for this program is TSgt. Joseph Bello, euphonium, a member of the United States Air Force Ceremonial Brass. Other selections include: ABA Symphonic March, by John Cheetham; The Solitary Dancer, by Warren Benson; Gazebo Dances, by John Corigliano; San Antonio Dances, by Frank Ticheli; and Galop, by Dmitri Shostakovich.
