Officials at the Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA) believe that the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) model is the next step for agency computing. The state recently implemented a mobile device management (MDM) solution to secure network access and data transmission and is in the process of finalizing a BYOD policy for MDM.
