About Workshop:
Lattice-based methods hold a great promise for future research in cryptology. The subject has now grown large enough to be called as Lattice Based Cryptography.
In this workshop we will study the basics of lattices, hard problem on lattices. We will study the lattice reduction algorithms: starting from LLL to the latest results on lattice reduction algorithms. We will also study the applications of lattice reduction algorithm in cryptanalysis: in particular we discuss the problem of small root finding, approximate common divisor problem. In addition, we will study some cryptographic constructions based on lattices. These will include an introduction to NTRU cryptosystem, hash functions and fully homomorphic encryption.
The target audience for the workshop is PhD students and postdocs in cryptography (we will assume background in cryptography, but not lattices). However, faculty, B. Tech, Masters, and professionals with the necessary background are all welcome. The workshop program includes approximately 18 hours of lectures.
