Arts for Justice Program
The Arts for Justice program recognizes the role of art in the formation and strengthening of our social movements.
Song and theater were important motivational and educational tools in the civil rights and labor movements of the past. Today, music and theater continues to inspire activism in communities across the United States.
We aim to support this work with the assistance of individual donors. This is still not a full-fledged grant program, but we began making grants to artist groups for justice in 2007-8.
