FlyteComm Becomes the First Commercial Off the Shelf, Cloud Computing Common Operational Picture (COP) Suite Provider to Receive FISMA Certification and Accreditation 

 FlyteComm is pleased to announce that its Guardian, FlyteTrax III and Traveler Advisory Services (TAS) cloud computing services are now FISMA certified for Federal, State and Local Government customers 

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA December 13, 2010 FlyteComm today announced an important milestone for Government users of its Guardian, FlyteTrax III and TAS services by obtaining Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) certification and accreditation from DHS. A Department of Homeland Security agency spearheaded the review of FlyteComms policies, procedures, and security controls before it issued an authority to operate. 

This certification is a statement that FlyteComms service and application suite meet stringent Federal guidelines for information assurance and availability, meaning that Federal, State and Local customers can select FlyteComm Common Operational Picture suite or the independent component services for mission critical applications with confidence, said Joe DAuria, FlyteComms VP of Programs. 

FlyteComm services have grown since 9-11 by focusing on the needs of its Government customers. Having received this certification, and with the reviews of security controls in place, agencies can now take advantage of FlyteComm Guardian and FlyteTrax III services for secure interagency real time sensitive data sharing on the ground and in the air, the result is significant cost savings when compared with high risk custom development.
