New Blichmann Items
Blichmann Engineering has been innovating quite a bit over the past year and as the exclusive distributor of their products on the Central Coast, Doc's Cellar has been keeping up with their latest.
We've already gotten in and quickly sold one of the new Top Tier systems.
The Top Tier system is ideal for home brewers because it allows the customization we all enjoy. Of course we also stock and can order the Boilermaker kettles and cooler mash tuns you see in the pictures above.
For those of you that fly sparge the challenge is always matching the input flow with the output flow from the lauter tun. Blichmann has solved this problem by building the AutoSparge:
The fully adjustable valve lets you set the sparge level in the mash tun and the focus on other tasks. As the level drops the valve opens letting in sparge water. As the level rises the valve closes stopping additional sparge water from coming in.
For your more mundane cleaning tasks it's always nice to have some good protection on your hands:
More detailed information on each of these products can be found on www.blichmannengineering.com.

New Hours
Starting immediately we've adjusted our hours. Since Saturday is already our busiest day we've decided to open two hours earlier at 10 AM. That should help avoid the midday rush in the store and help you get a chance to pick up stuff if you're brewing that day.
We will be closed on Mondays, though. All other hours are unchanged.
As usual, we want to do what we can to help. Call us at the shop if you have any questions about these hours or would like to see if we'll be around during off hours.

Now Carrying MiniBrew Conicals
We've started carrying a new line of products from the Hobby Beverage Equipment company (www.minibrew.com)
in San Diego. They make a complete line of really good quality plastic
conical fermenters, mash tuns, and hot liquor tanks. They make a nice
affordable alternative to the Blichmann Stainless Fermenters (that we
also carry.)
