Saturday, April 14th 9am-12pm: Sunrise Estates Rain Barrel workshop
Boone County Resource Management is teaming with MRCN to restore a storm water management system in the Sunrise Estates neighborhood. Residents will be able to buy a rain barrel for just $20 – a $45 discount – and will learn how to construct, install, and use their rain barrels effectively. If you are a Sunrise Estates neighbor and would like to register, call us at 573-256-2602.
Sunday, April 22nd: Columbia Earth Day
Celebrate the abundance of our planet with us as we staff a booth on the Missouri River, one of our greatest assets, and demonstrate our various projects ranging from rain barrel and rain garden storm water work, to local food and farmer support with the Columbia Center for Urban Ag, Missouri River Bluffs Association, and Katy Trail Merchants and Communities.
Saturday, April 28th: Sunrise Estates Rain Garden workshop
Another program with our Boone County Resource Management partnership, we will be giving a tutorial and installation of 20 rain gardens in the Sunrise Estates neighborhood, where such storm water management can make a big difference to our Hinkson Creek watershed.
Saturday and Sunday, May 26th, 27th: Pedaler’s Jamboree
Off Track events will be hosting another Katy Trail weekend music and bicycle festival this Memorial day weekend. Register for the ride, a sag wagon, and MO River music. Visit MRCN in Rocheport (the Big Muddy Oasis) for Missouri-grown food and drink, a little shade, the Ben Miller Band, Man in the Ring, and good company.
