Analeigh Tipton (Antm, No?) in Nonoo NY
Red pants are gutsy… ballsy… dangerous. Basically, if you wear them you’re a woman not to be messed with. A women who’s got moxy (I have literally been dying to use that word in a sentence.) Red pants are also a surprisingly versatile statement piece, particularly because they work dressed-up with a blouse or dressed-down with a t-shirt or leather jacket.
Apparently actress Analeigh Tipton has the balls it takes to rock some red pants, as she was spotted in a deliciously adorable pair of red “Grazia” pants by Nonoo. The “Grazia” features a crepe paper bag high waist and bow belt. The NY based designer behind Nonoo, Misha Nonoo, was born in Bahrain and raised in London. As the 2012 recipient of Fashion Group International’s prestigious ‘Rising Star Award,’ if you haven’t hear of Nonoo yet, don’t worry – you will.
First I was all, “Oh it’s that super cute funny girl from ‘Hung.’” And then… AND THEN it suddenly clicked in my brain that I in fact recognize Analeigh Tipton from somewhere else entirely… namely, America’s Next Top Model (also known as: “The Best Show on TV Ever,” I love you Tyra). Analeigh was a finalist in Cycle 11, in which McKey was the winner. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, that may be because “McKey” was actually “Brittany Sullivan” until they changed her name on the second-to-last episode. Needless to say, it would appear that not winning was probably the best thing that ever happened to Analeigh.
But as usual, I digress. To get back to Analeigh’s outfit, she definitely made the right choice with a clean, structured blazer. The red pants are loud enough on their own…. plus, I feel like the nude/pale-yellow-ish shoes really brighten up the whole outfit, whereas black shoes would have weighed it down. Final verdict: well played Analeigh!

The CH Carolina Herrera “Matryoshka” bag is named for the famous Russian doll. What is a Matryoshka doll, you say? They are more commonly known as “Nesting Dolls,” which are those dolls that fit inside of a doll that fits inside of a doll that fits inside of a doll… leaving you with an obscene quantity of basically useless dolls when opened up. But whatever, they’re the quintessential Russian tourist gift and they’re pretty. Sort of. In fact, the new Monopoly World Edition replaced lame game pieces like the top hat with said famous nesting dolls, which may or may not lead to horribly inappropriate and offensive nicknames when playing with friends who may or may not have been drinking. But that’s a story for another time, my kittens.
The CH Carolina Herrera “Matryoshka” bag however, unlike its namesake, it the total opposite of useless… meaning that it is insanely practical and versatile and I suggest you grab it four different colors, just not off Eva’s arm. It’s like a tote bag, but far superior…clearly superior enough for EVA to wear it more than once
