Roc Beer Week - What's the skinny at The Old Toad?

As part of Rochester's very first Real Beer Week we shall be hosting a number of events. On Monday, June 18th, we will have beer themed trivia. On Thursday, the 21st, there will be an extreme beer tasting, and on Friday, we will wrap up the week long festival with our very own CASK FESTIVAL featuring over 30 casks. Line up is yet to be finalised, but let's say this...if you had clean underwear on, there may be an accident when you read it!!

Scandinavian Beer Pairing - April 26th

Here at The Old Toad we love Scandinavian beer, they produce some of the worlds most exclusive and interesting beers with the likes of Mikkeller, Nogne O, Amager and HaandBryggeriet all hailing from these parts.

Highlights the fantastic beer that is being produced in the Scandinavian region, and their traditional food styles and flavors.
Features incredibly rare beer line up that would be hard to find in Scandinavia, let alone, in Rochester, NY.
Direct pairing recommendations from brewers at the Nogne O brewery in Norway.
Launches the first ever Nogne O tap tower in the USA

Roast Dinners
Every Sunday from 5pm

A HUGE tradition back home, it involves putting a joint of meat in the oven whilst traditionally the family was at church then all eating together and enjoying good conversation.
The roast will always a different meat every week ranging from lamb to beef to chicken and always comes with all the trimmings like roast potatoes, meat gravy and cauliflower cheese to name a few.

This Weeks Roast : Sunday April 14th

Roast Lamb - served with roast market vegetables, garlicky mashed potato and creamy leek bake. $14

Firkin Friday

Firkin Friday is now well established as one of The Toad's nights of dedication to real ale. Starting at 7pm every Friday, pints off the firkin will be on sale for a dollar off, and when it's gone, it's gone!

There will always be interesting new versions on the beers; whether it is dry hopped or vanilla infused… come down and check it out!

Kids Menu Now Available at The Old Toad

Our brand new TADPOLE menu - for kids under 10, allows Mom and Dad to come down to their favourite pub and enjoy some pub food whilst the little ones have a smaller meal of their own. Many of our favourites for grown-ups are now in a mini versions for the kids. Shepherds pie, fish fingers, real mac and cheese are just some of the choices!
