Chocolate and Wine Tasting Wheel

Tasting wheels are widely used to help discover the hidden flavors within certain foods. We’ve developed the tasting wheel below to help you look for the flavors that you’ll find when pairing Coco du Vinβ„’ with your favorite wines.

On the tasting wheel, the inner circles represent tastes and aromas. Tastes are primarily from the tongue. Aromas are primarily through the nose. The outer circles represent different tastes you may experience when sampling different food items. Examples: bitter, sweet, sour. The two outer circles represent classes of flavors that you may detect as you sample the chocolate and wine together. Look for the flavors in both the wine and the chocolate, and see how the chocolate enhances the flavors in the wine.
