MISSION

Commit 65 is an organization on committed to conquering the stigma of stigma of child sexual abuse by sparking conversation.

Using the platform of a Guinness World Record fight attempt – 65-days of nonstop flight without touching ground (not even to refuel) – we are going to engage Americans.  Using our founder Matt Pipkin’s personal story of overcoming child sexual abuse, we are on a mission to empower Americans to Speak Their Silence about their own sexual abuse, in support of their friends or family members, and simply to transform a culture of silence into a culture of openness, free from stigma.

Sexual abuse is something that people often feel uncomfortable talking about, and victims themselves are often afraid to open up about.

Matt was molested by a family friend multiple times at the age of five.  He finally began to open up about it and started counseling in 2009.  Taking these steps completely changed his life, restoring hope and giving him a passion to help others who have walked in similar shoes to those he walked in for almost twenty years.

1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys are sexually abused before the age of 18.  9 out of 10 of them never tell anyone.

MISSION:  To be THE VOICE.  To empower victims (and overcomers) of child sexual abuse to SPEAK THEIR SILENCE and begin the healing process.
