Although born in Poland, this Grammy-winning star is in such international demand for the operatic repertoire that the lyric tenor now seems to live on stage. He’s been accused in the press of “stealing the show” as Faust and declared “MVP” as Rodolfo in La Boheme.

Founded in 1963 by local artist Marjorie M. Knowles, the Malibu Art Association’s (MAA), mission is to support, inspire, and develop the Spirit of Art for all. As a service oriented and educational organization, the MAA provides a yearly grant to local high school seniors studying art.

Mayor Laura Rosenthal will deliver the State of the City Address at Malibu City Hall on Friday, April 27 during a two-hour breakfast hosted by the Malibu Chamber of Commerce. Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, 3rd District, will also speak about California’s budget. In her speech, Mayor Rosenthal is expected to review the accomplishments and goals of last fiscal year as well as those the City hopes to accomplish in the fiscal year to come.

Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art at Pepperdine University

CARAVAN will feature works by eight artists who are graduating from Pepperdine’s Seaver College in April with B.A. degrees in art: Blair Berger, Emily Branch, Hudson Campbell, Lo Formaz, Jamie Pillsbury, Amanda Ponce, Cara Strever and Alexandra Williams.

Public planetarium shows (suitable for all ages) are given by current astronomy and astrophysics graduate students. Content varies with presenters, but commonly includes discussion about the current night sky, constellations, astronomical phenomena, and more!

This year’s Dino Fair will feature two bouncies, papier-mâché volcanoes, games, live music, food, a bake sale, raffle prizes, a silent auction, a presentation of unique animals from The Reptile Family, and other entertainment. The activities and amusements provide fun times for kids of all ages, while a warm and welcoming environment draws several hundred families from the Santa Monica area and beyond.
