spacer LTFHC Founder Amy Lehman will participate on a Global Health panel during the 10th  annual GE conference for senior women business leaders themed “Leading & Learning,” to be held May 7-9 at GE’s Leadership Training Campus in Ossining, NY. This event has hosted some of the most prominent women in the world, coming together to discuss global trends, innovation, leadership, and growth challenges. Leading & Learning provides a unique forum for senior female executives to learn, grow, and network.

Amy Lehman to be featured in MAKERS: Women Who Make America

LTFHC founder, Dr. Amy Lehman, was honored to be selected to share her story through MAKERS: Women Who Make America, a landmark digital video and broadcast initiative from AOL and PBS that aims to become the largest collection of women’s stories ever captured on video.  Launched today, MAKERS.com features exclusive access to compelling stories from trailblazing women, who are driving and realizing social change.  The project will debut as a 3-part documentary on PBS in early 2013.

LTFHC’s upgrade of the Moba Territory Ministry of Health communications network was an overwhelming success!

spacer Last week, with the help of local governmental officials, village chiefs and the population, the LTFHC installed HF radios, antennas and solar power systems at eight remote DRC health clinics on the shores of Lake Tanganyika.  These health clinics, all of which are only accessible by water, are now able to communicate with the Moba Regional Hospital, where the LTFHC also installed a radio, and each other.  Stay tuned for a detailed report..
