Clip: Willamette Week Cover
Last week I was sent to the Blazers game to shoot a feature on forward Kurt Thomas, the oldest man playing in the NBA. What was tough about this assignment, was that Kurt had not played a single minute in the last 7 games and did not play this night either. So I had to shoot him pregame, on the bench, heading to the locker room, etc etc. I also had a pretty decent stock photo from earlier in the season when he actually played that they were able to use as well. Luckily for me, Kurt is the kind of guy that likes to joke around with people a lot and is a really nice guy so it gave me something to shoot. The story ended up on the cover and a bunch of inside pages. The cover photo was shot while he was stretching during pregame warm-ups. He sat up and was joking around, looking up at a coach while sitting at center court. Worked out ok. Give it a read and pick up a copy this week around Portland.
