Web site design is unique. Interactivity with the audience, sound, animation, video and immediate global distribution make this a communication medium of wonder. What would Gutenberg think? Da Vinci? Did I mention cost efficiency?
The fundamentals of style and content organization remain paramount but the evolving building blocks of web site coding are both more powerful and yet limiting than design for the printed page. The experience of getting information from a web browser is unique and evolving. My job of presenting that information is both an art and a science.
Below is a sampling of some web sites that I have designed. For client FAQs and more thoughts about my evolving web education, visit my blog. (03.16.09)
The Sister Project is my most ambitious project. Built for Margaret Roach, it contains three separate blogs, Galleries and a Sisterpedia. I designed it. WebDevStudios coded it using WordPress Mu. Visit the site: www.thesisterproject.com
