I’ve always had a soft spot for Fiona Apple. Maybe it’s because my parents forbade me from watching MTV as a child because of this famous music video, or perhaps it’s because I tend to enjoy very odd people… Either way, the Apple is back and I’m liking what I’m hearing. Check out “Every Single Night” below, and look for her new album this June entitled The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than The Driver of The Screw And Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do… so odd, I love it.

Nashville dwellers Future Unlimited have pulled a 5-song gem from the ether for our listening pleasure. Released earlier this month, the duo’s self titled EP reveals a mingling of dream-wave instrumentals and vocals that, in my mind, is overwhelmingly melancholic.
