MBTS consists of an undergraduate college (Midwestern Baptist College, SBC), a graduate professional school and a school of doctoral programs. The purpose of each school is to serve as a community of higher learning for men and women who are called to Christian ministry. As an agency of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), Midwestern operates in covenant with the churches of the SBC and has keyed its purpose, as well as its doctrinal and moral stance, to official Convention positions and actions.
Our mission states that Midwestern serves the church by biblically educating God-called men and women to be and make disciples of Jesus Christ.
