Board Approves School Bus Grants for Replacements and
Retrofits

Since November 11, 2008, the Board has awarded school
bus grants totaling $4,924,674 to the following school
districts and Durham Transportation Services: Fillmore,
Moorpark, Ocean View, Ojai, Pleasant Valley, Rio, Simi
Valley, Somis, and Ventura.

New State Greenhouse Gas Regulations
|
The California Air Resources Board (ARB) is
working on reducing greenhouse gas (GHG)
emissions from multiple sectors of Californias
economy, as part of the implementation of AB 32,
the Global Warming Solutions Act. Several of
ARBs regulations take effect in 2011 and will
affect businesses in Ventura County. ARBs
regulations effective this year will apply to
operators of larger industrial and commercial
refrigeration systems and semiconductor
manufacturers. To assist those affected by ARBs
regulations, the APCD has prepared several
Compliance Assistance Advisories.

Agricultural Engine ATCM Enforcement and Registration Program

issues
Compliance Assistance Advisory on
enforcement of California Air Resources Boards
Air Toxic Control Measure for Stationary
Compression Ignition Engines (ATCM) and the
Districts agricultural engine registration
program.
The ATCM prohibits the operation of Tier 0
agricultural engines rated at 100 BHP, or more,
after December 31, 2010. Tier 0 agricultural
engines rated at 50 to 99 BHP may operate until
December 31, 2011.
All agricultural engines 50 horsepower and
greater are required to be registered with the

Request for Proposals for Plug-In Electric
Vehicle Readiness Planning
|
Ventura County APCD with our partners, San Luis
Obispo County APCD and Santa Barbara County APCD,
is issuing this RFP for one or more contractors
to assist in the development of a comprehensive
plug-in electric vehicle readiness plan.
Proposals are due no later than 5:00 pm on March
24, 2012. The following link includes the
RFP and Submittal Instructions. A detailed
description of the work requirements may be
found in the
Energy Commission grant agreement.
