HOUFILLIEZ, BELGIUM (April 13, 2012) Lopes proving that age ain't nothing but a number, laid down his BMX legs on the start line at the inaugural UCI MTB World Cup XC Sprint Eliminator held in Houffalize, Belgium today. PROJEKT ROAM: Dig It
PROJEKT ROAM: Dig It Camaraderie. Dust. Sweat. Exertion. Chatter and laughter. Embellished tales. But a few descriptives actively depicting a trail day in any biking community... As for ours, warmth emanates from the sun's beams, making it easy for our trail crew to forget we are supposed to be in the clutches of winter. The steady, but offbeat pitter patter of various tools resounds through the air as each individual in our group, from youth to adult, lends a hand to help improve the quality of the local trails. Glancing over my shoulder, the antics of our five year old, … [Read More...]
Long Term Review: ESP 13r BMX Stem
Over the last several months we have been testing the ESP 13r stem. This bike has seen duty at the track and a little at the local skate park and dirt jumps. The 13r has been hanging in there like a champ. But what makes this stem stick out from the pack are its clean lines, custom appearance and light weight. The ESP 13r is only 8.1 oz. It uses a twin beam design on the body with a full cap that blends in nicely and makes for a very solid stem. Hardware consists of solid stainless bolts. ESP did not sacrifice strength yet, still managed to mill out just about every nanometer of this … [Read More...]
Product Review – 2012 Marzocchi RC3 888ti V2
For the last 4 months we have been riding the new 2012 Marzocchi RC3 EVO 888ti V2. For the last 4 months we have been riding one of the roughest, most suspension demanding terrains in the US, Bootleg Canyon. For the last 4 months we have been giving our bike HELL. For the last 4 months we have been very, very happy. Marzocchi’s flagship fork has been afront our Project DH, being put through the ringer. Trails named Reaper, PoopChute, and Armageddon have been giving their best shot to take out the fork and the rest of the bike, but to no avail. Marzocchi has done their homework and … [Read More...]
