Having been fortunate enough to work several awesome summer jobs through his college years, backpacking and climbing guiding in Switzerland, New Mexico, and Alaska among them,“Robot” brings his skills and expertise of the natural and vertical worlds back home to Oahu to work with Team Climb Aloha. Our resident Eagle Scout’s passion lies in big-peak mountaineering, but he’s equally happy on Hawaiian-style “Jungleneering” deep within the isles’ reaches. Robot can be found either rockin’ out at the crag recreationally, disc golfing with the HDGA or playing outside with his favorite assistant guide— Samson.Contact: kichkinet567@hotmail.com |

The greatest adventures start with rope. It is a lifeline and your pass to freedom. For Joe, there is nothing better than a day of climbing with friends on top of “The Cornice Office.” Sharing his passion for the outdoors with others allows him to pass on something completely intangible yet incredibly valuable.
With a range of experience from the Gunks, New York to the White Mountains in New Hampshire, Joseph’s handhold in climbing is solid. He enjoys spending time with new clients on the rocks, and imparting his knowledge of climbing to others he meets at the Cliff.
His motto: “Belay On!”

Mike Bishop

Although originally from Hawaii, Mike spent many years away from the islands, during which he developed his love of rock climbing in Colorado, New Mexico, and California. He also has a passion for teaching and works as a high school teacher and a kids wilderness educator. That being said, sharing a sport that is so mentally challenging and watching people shatter their own self-imposed limitations is his favorite type of teaching, and a crag is his favorite “classroom.” At home once again in Hawaii, when not climbing, Mike can be found adventuring around the islands and hiking, surfing, and SCUBA diving.
