Herb Night @ Tronic in Glasgow with Engine7, Pumajaw & Solipsism
Glasgow: home of Joseph Lister (pioneer of antiseptic surgery), European Capital of Culture 1990, and – far more importantly – home to Herb Records, a wonderful little independent label, tonight showcasing three of its acts in a hometown setting………Tonight, then, is an excellent reminder of how important smaller, independent record labels can be, and also the amount of hidden talent that resides on such labels. Marvellous stuff from Herb.

Solipsism – Refract Me, Don’t Subtract Me

the tracks vary from the beatless to the beat-rich yet Solipsism’s sound is recognizable throughout. Plus, quite aside from the technical merits, the tracks sound great when turned up really, really loud. Igloomag Review

Verdant, Various Artists compilation with tracks from;
Kingbastard, Skytree, Shamanic Technology, Solipsism, Engine7 & The Lotus Project, Skywatchers, Jack Marchment, Haz, Shoosh, Pumajaw, Obon, Small Radio, Ulle Kamelle, Megamegaman, Phasen, The Pad Foundation & Vedette.

Verdant Review – Igloo Magazine
There is an overflow of styles buried here that gracefully places its signature on a variety of sonic colors, predominately green (as the cover suggests). Elaborating on the strengths of their roster of talent and veering left of any one particular path, this seventeen-track manifesto is a proverbial forest of lush, organic branches.

We’re still on the lookout for some new artists.  So if you think you’re music is right for Herb, then please feel free to send a demo, the contact email address is at www.herbrecordings.com Please only send music that is finished, no works in progress and please, if you’re unsure of our style, have a listen on the player on the site and ask yourself if you think it suits our label.  Just because your music is great, doesn’t mean it’s automatically suitable for Herb, so don’t be offended if we don’t release it!
