World’s Largest Cave?

Hang Sơn Đoòng is a massive cave in Vietnam. This geological treasure was discovered in 1991 and not made public until 2009. So who knows what wonders are still waiting to be discovered?
The name “Son Doong” cave means “mountain river cave”. It was created 2-5 million years ago by river water eroding away the limestone underneath the mountain where the limestone was weak. Over time, the ceiling collapsed creating huge skylights.
The biggest chamber of Sơn Đoòng is more than five kilometers long, 200 meters high, and 150 meters wide. These dimensions award it the title of – The World’s Largest Cave!
