1. Are attendee’s responsible for their travel arrangements and expenses?

Yes. Each attendee is responsible for their travel arrangements (air fare and hotel costs).

If you need assistance with travel arrangements please contact our official Orange Flag Travel Representative: Mrs. Kathy Mahon: E-mail: Kathy@jetsettravels.com, cell phone # +215-272-6921. Kathy at Jet Set Travel can make air and hotel reservations for you at discounted rates. Please let her know you’re attending Orange Flag.

2. Is there a cost or fee for attending Orange Flag?

No. Attendance at Orange Flag is free.

3. Is Orange Flag for Pilot’s only?

No. Orange Flag is open to Pilots, Flight Surgeons, Physiologist’s, VIP’s, and Training Organizations with an interest in Flight Training & Tactics.

4. Which hotel is closest to Orange Flag?

We recommend the Crowne Plaza-Bucks. Mention ETC Orange Flag and Military affiliation to get a Government and/or discounted room rate. However, there are other area hotels.

5. Will shuttle service be available?

Yes, We will provide daily shuttle service from your hotel to the NASTAR Center. Airport transfer to/from the airport to your hotel can be arranged. Please contact Glenn King, 215-439-6797 to schedule your transfer.

6. Who shall I call in the event of an emergency? Who do I call with questions?

7. Where do I park my car?

If driving to the NASTAR Center, please follow the driveway to the rear most parking lot and park in the ‘visitor parking’ right outside the NASTAR Center entrance.

8. How do I get into the building and where do I go?

The NASTAR Center is a secured access facility. Please bring identification documents with you [Military ID or Passport or Drivers License] and sign in with the receptionist. After sign-in, you will be directed to the iDEA Room for the briefing.

9. Requirements to fly the ATFS-400 & GL-4000. Can only Pilots fly?

All Orange Flag Attendees are invited and encouraged to fly all three flight simulators. You do not need to be a Pilot. Attendees who wish to fly the ATFS-400 Phoenix and GL-4000 must complete the NASTAR Center Waiver of Liability form must be completed upon arrival.

10. What do I wear during Orange Flag?

We recommend that flight suites or Utility uniforms be worn during daily flight activities. Civilian clothes (casual wear) can be worn for non-flying personnel and evening activities. There is no need for formal attire.

11. Will pilots need their flight gear?

We suggest Pilots bring their flight suits and boots. We have an assortment of sizes of Helmets, Anti-G suits and harnesses available.

12.Will there be a changing room to don flight gear?

Yes, we have separate changing rooms for Male and Female Pilots.

13. Will there be a secure, locked area for valuables?

Yes, there will be an area to store your valuables.

14. Will there be a briefing / debriefing room?

Yes, all pilots will be given aircraft familiarization, safety, preflight and post flight briefings. See the Orange Flag Agenda for the daily itinerary. Each Orange Flag participant will receive a Orange Flag Participation Certificate.

15. Will there be an area for observers to watch?

Yes. We have an observer area with closed circuit TV to observe the engagements. If you wish, a free DVR of your flight will be provided. Videos and photographs are allowed.

16. Will meals be provided?

A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided daily at the NASTAR Center. In addition, a Welcome Reception is planned for the evening of Tuesday, October 18th. A Welcome Dinner hosted by the NASTAR Center, is planned for the evening of Wednesday, October 19th. Special dietary arrangements will be honored. Please inform the NASTAR staff at the time of registration of your unique requirements.

17. Will I be allowed to take photographs?

Yes. Photographs and videos are allowed and encouraged. There are designated areas in the NASTAR Center where no photographs are allowed. You will be informed of those areas during your briefings.

18. Is my spouse allowed to come to Orange Flag and observe?

Yes, spouses are welcome. We have a separate observation room for spouses. Also, a “Spouse Day Tour” of local sightseeing and shopping is planned.
