Butcher & The Burger Classes

All classes include a full meal featuring the subject of the class and are BYOB. Please wear non-slip shoes.

We will hold a minimum of 2 classes monthly, we can do semi-private classes for groups, private very hands on butcher classes for 1 or 2 people. These classes make outstanding venues for small partys!

April 30th- Hog Butchery – $85

We will be breaking down one of our young Ossabaw Hogs. This exceptional heritage breed is a unique species which has developed insular dwarfism from hundred of years of isolated existence on Ossabaw Island, Georgia. The species is descended from the dark pigs brought over by the Conquistadores over 400 years ago and has unique characteristic in its ability to store large amounts of fat to get through the sparse winter, making it a highly marbleized meat with the finest flavor of any pork.

May 7th- Fishmonger Class

This class has been one of the favorites offered so far. We will work with salmon, stripped bass or walleye, lobster, and trout. Chef Al will go over great tricks used by professional chefs while sampling outstandingly fresh sashimi and other outstanding treats. We will learn to prepare these fish in a number of ways and will have a great meal consisting of the product we butcher after the class.

June 18th- Father’s Day Grillin’ Class – $75

The perfect gift for dad, send him our way to fine tune his grill skills! Class will cover some basic butchery and carving, as well as teach some great techniques for becoming master of his grill. Every red blooded American man should know how to work his grill, and this class will make him a champ.

Hog, Beef, Pheasant, Duck, and other Game Butcher Classes will be held Monthly. Calender will be posted a minimum of two months in advance.
