About
1. The Solidary Campaign is formed by a number of left and progressive-minded individuals who are supportive of independence, freedom and social justice for the people of Iran. The main goal of he Solidarity Campaign is to wage a principled and consistent campaign in support of the Iranian People’s Green Movement. It considers itself as an integral part of the Iranian People’s Green Movement and shares its struggles and its goals.
2. The Solidarity Campaign is a democratic organization in which all individuals and forces that share its fundamental views toward the Iranian People’s Green Movement can take part voluntarily, and participate effectively in its activities regardless of their philosophical and/or religious beliefs.
3. The Solidarity Campaign has no financial, political or organizational affiliation with any Iranian or non-Iranian government or non-governmental institution, political party or organization, and carries out its activities independently. The Solidarity Campaign will be holding lectures, conferences and meetings to discuss the issues that face the movement and will take necessary actions in support of the Iranian people’s struggles.
4. While respecting the plurality within the Green Movement, the Solidarity Campaign reserves the right to constructively criticize and resist any possible incorrect policy, deviation and narrow-mindedness within Green Movement with the objective of developing, strengthening its internal unity, and ultimate victory of the Iranian People’s Green Movement. Reciprocally, we encourage all freedom-loving people and progressive individuals to help us correct the Solidarity Campaign’s possible incorrect positions and standings.
5. The Campaign in Solidarity with the Iranian People’s Green Movement invites all progressive individuals and social forces who share our political views and positions to join us in this struggle so we can better contribute collectively to the success of the Iranian People’s Green Movement.

With due respect:
I, as a supporter of the independence, democratic, social and economic rights of the people of Iran, express my deep concern over the recent wave of repression and imprisonment of thousands of Green Movement activists during the past two years, as well as the house arrest and restrictions that have been imposed on the civil and political rights of the leaders of the Iranian people’s Green Movement: Mir-Hossein Mousavi, Mehdi Karrubi and Zahra Rahnavard. The “Coordinating Council of the Green Path of Hope” has publicly expressed its grave concern over the potential threat to the lives of these popular leaders.
I urge you to protect the civil, political and human rights of these highly respected popular leaders. I demand that all imposed restrictions on their civil and political rights be removed and all threats against their lives and liberties be immediately stopped. These leaders have proven their loyalty to the ideals of the Iranian people’s Revolution.
As sincere friend and supporter of the Iranian people’s Revolution, I am also deeply concerned bout the arrest and imprisonment of thousands of political and civil rights activists since the last presidential elections and the extreme restrictions imposed on the freedom of expression throughout the society. I strongly call upon you to free all political prisoners immediately and guarantee the Iranian people’s constitutional right to freedom of expression and publication.
The Iranian Revolution of 1979 inspired all freedom-loving people around the world, and it is now a discouragement for us to see that after making so many sacrifices for securing justice and freedom for the Iranian people, their most fundamental rights provided in the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran are being so arbitrarily violated.
