These General Motors Marine Base engines fit the following applications MerCruiser Engines, Crusader Engines, Volvo Penta Engines and OMC Engines. Some people also refer to these as Chevrolet, or Chevy Marine Engines and even as Chris Craft engines, PleasureCraft / PCM Marine Engines, Seamaxx, Indmar, Marine Power.

These marine engines are differentiated by their size or by their horsepower rating. Such as, 3.0 Liter or 140HP, or 5.0L 305 CID 220HP and 270 and sometimes 275HP. Also, many of these GM Marine engines are of the newest VORTEC design.

So, if someone is looking for a replacement marine engine for a 140, 190, 220, 225, 260, 270, 275, 330, 350, 375, 365, 385 or 425 HP MerCruiser, Volvo Penta, OMC, we have them all.

By marine engine size, these could be referred to as a 3.0L(181), 4.3L(262), 5.0L(305), 5.7L(350), 454(7.4L), 496 (8.1L). Furthermore, the 496 CID 8.1L can be referred to also with an HO designation (496HO or 8.1HO) as can the 454 CID 7.4L, either as a 454HO or 7.4HO.

We have replacement VORTEC engines, Inboard marine engines, MerCruiser Marine Engines and Marine Power Engines available. They are not complete and some consider these partial engines. These VORTEC engines are available in right hand, left hand (or standard and opposite rotation), and are available for stern drive, applications.

Remanufactured engines are also considered rebuilt marine engines or reman marine engines. These remanufactured marine engines are replacements for the same brands as above, but also include Ford and Chrysler, First Mate and Flagship. Ford 302, 351, 460. and Chrysler 340, 318, 360, 440

We offer marine transmissions brand new from the following manufactures, ZF marine transmissions, Hurth marine transmissions, Velvet Drive marine transmissions, Borg Warner Velvet Drive marine transmissions and PCM or Pleasurecraft as well as Walters. We also offer V drives from the same manufacturers. These are available in various ratios.

We also have reman or rebuilt or even remanufactured marine transmissions from the following manufactures, ZF, Hurth, Velvet Drive, Borg Warner Velvet Drive and PCM or Pleasurecraft as well as Walters. We also remanufacture V or VEE drive units.

We also carry marine cylinder heads, Fresh water cooling systems or kits for marine engines. These fresh water cooling kits are also referred to as a closed system or closed cooling. These fresh water cooling kits are available for most MerCruiser, Volvo Penta and OMC applications.

Osco Manifolds are products from Osco Motors Co. These are replacement exhaust manifolds and related parts for most marine engines. These are called by many names in the industry. Such as risers, spacers, spacer blocks, elbows and manifolds to fit many marine engine manufactures.

We offer brand new complete Crusader Engines as well as bobtail. These Crusader marine engines replace ZF, Hurth, Velvet Drive, Borg Warner, Borg Warner Velvet Drive and PCM or Pleasurecraft as well as Walters. These are available in carbureted and fuel injected and in right hand and left hand rotation. Available sizes are 5.0L (or 305 CID / 270HP) 5.7L (or 350 CID / 300-330HP) 6.0L (375HP) and until recently 8.1L 496CID in standard HP of 385 and an HO Version of 425HP. We also offer replacement Crusader engines for models 220, 270, 350, 454XL
